Our sustainable transport vision:
Northam Town Council is committed to helping residents and visitors make sustainable journeys. These journeys benefit our environment, as well as our physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Active travel:
Along with neighbouring Councils, Northam Town Council has contributed to the development of a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan, coordinated by Devon County Council. You can read the draft report here and the outcome of the consultation exercise here.
This plan identifies the improvements to help residents and visitors feel safe and comfortable, whilst walking or cycling around our districts, across the Northam area, between Northam and Bideford, and beyond.
Devon County Council will work with partners to seek funding for - and the delivery of - these improvements.
