Northam Town Council expressed an interest in preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan, in relation to which a Neighbourhood Area Designation Application was made to Torridge District Council in July 2017.
In accordance with Section 61G of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended) and pursuant to a decision made by Torridge District Council at its Full Council on 7th August 2017, the Northam Neighbourhood Area was formally designated.
The area to which the designation relates is the whole of the Civil Parish of Northam and can be seen on the map opposite. The area designated is bounded in red.
